OUR VALUES

Our mission is to provide exceptional and personalized service tailored to you. Creating strong relationships is critical to us.

At Lovely, we champion attentiveness, communication and trust.

Attentiveness

We’re never too busy for you and work hard to respond to your questions and needs as quickly as possible. Our lead planners only book one event per day, so all our focus and attention will be on you and your event.

Communication

Communication is key to building any strong relationship so with every client, we offer unlimited e-mails or calls for updates and advice starting the day you hire us.

Trust

Although we work hard to gain the full confidence of everyone we work with, we always put our client’s best interests first. It’s for this reason we do not take commissions from vendors or venues. We believe it’s critical to keeping our client’s best interests a priority and offering the very best options for you.

Kristen Estela

I grew up in a kitchen surrounded by chefs and hospitality professionals, so it's no surprise I fell in love with event planning.

I started event planning at one of the world's top media companies, MTV, where I worked on every kind of event from small exclusive parties to escorting VIPs down the red carpet at VMAs.  It was a truly amazing experience and helped me build an incredible foundation that is still with me today.

My passion for events led me to Shutterstock, where I worked as the company's Corporate Event Manager, planning hundreds events and managing productions for their eight offices globally.

In an effort to fully embody the industry, I made a shift from client to client services, working in hospitality at a five-star event venue to gain intimate industry knowledge and back-of-house experience that sets me apart from other planners.

The experience and exposure I've gained throughout my career is truly unique. I've worked with some of the world's most high-profile celebrities, businessmen, politicians and dignitaries. I had quite the ride, learning from the best in the business, but knew someday I wanted to build something of my own.

I truly love getting to know my clients, building partnerships (that often turn into friendships!) and helping to create unforgetable moments that will last a lifetime. There is nothing more rewarding than having a couple, their family and friends thank you for working on what is undoubtedly one of the most important days of their life.

I'm proud to say it's this passion for planning and drive for excellent service that makes us successful. I'm so very proud of what we've accomplished in such a short amount of time and excited for what the future holds for Lovely. I look forward to creating many memorable moments to come!

My first job, as a teenager, was at a small town banquet facility. The Chef took me under his wing and taught me everything he knew. I was running small events for 50 guests or less by the time I was 17 years old.

Shortly thereafter I moved to New York City to major in musical theater, but my love of restaurants and events outshined my passion for theater. I found myself managing restaurants in midtown and decided that it would be the perfect time to perfect my craft. I soon became one of the youngest female Captains at the three Michelin starred, four New York Times starred dining room, Jean-Georges. There I learned attention to detail, fine dining service, cuisine and wine from the best in the industry.

After five years at Jean-George’s I moved up to Connecticut with my husband, who is also in the industry. There I launched an executive catering program for one of the world’s top hedge funds and moved on to become the Group Sales Director at Mario Batali’s Tarry Lodge

I currently sit as the Vice Chairman of Slow Food Metro North while working on top notch events with Kristen at Lovely Event Planning! My passion lies in creating perfect memories for our clients through food, beverage, service and ambiance.

I first fell in love with the culture of the hospitality industry when I was introduced at a young age by my father, who at the time, was Head Chef at a local restaurant.

I knew I wanted to go into events, and throughout my college career I made a conscious effort to intern and take jobs in the industry.  After I graduated in 2016, I officially began my journey in event planning at a luxury venue in Westchester County as Sales Coordinator and Bridal Attendant.

This is where I met Kristen. With her expertise in design and execution, she took me under her wing and taught me everything there was to know about event planning. I was quickly immersed into the business and in a short six months was promoted to Event Manager. As Event Manager, I refined my eye for detail and found my own rhythm. I have successfully planned and executed dozens of weddings, corporate and social events.

Now as Senior Event Manager at Lovely, I look forward to conquering new challenges in this next chapter and to continue to provide exquisite service to our Lovely clients.
